Product Introduction
A codec is a semiconductor device that converts data formats by compressing and decompressing data. Data compression can increase transfer speed and reduce storage space. Some codecs have resolutions up to 32 bits and offer up to 6 or 8 analog-to-digital converters and digital-to-analog converters. In addition to sigma-delta modulation, there are various data interfaces such as I2C, I2S, SPI, serial, HDA, S/DIF, PCM, USB, AC'97, and SLIMbus.
